I'm in the process of getting my CS (although sometimes it seems pointless since I'll have almost 10 years of experience after I graduate). After being in the programming arena for a while, taking classes can be redundant but once in a while it will correct some bad practices. I agree that without a CS degree, being able to tell if a person is "in touch" with how and why computers do what they do is difficult.

I was wondering how you felt concerning non-regionally accredited programs (in other words: programs that are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission instead of CSAB)? I'm only able to attend classes online, so my actual choices for programs is VERY limited.
